Initiatives for Employee Engagement

As a start point, we conduct employee engagement surveys to increase employee engagement and enhance vitality of the organization. After collecting and analyzing employee feedback on factors related to engagement such as trust in the company, value-creation, work efficiency, work results, ease of work, work satisfaction, career and development, we define key areas for improvement and put them into action.

The 2020 survey revealed the high trust placed in the future of the Sun* Group, but also showed areas for improvement in how information is exchanged within the organization. Based on these results, we conducted a detailed analysis of each business unit and led by the unit managers, discussed possible ways to improve. This was shared with employees through meetings reflecting the survey results, and from time to time, we continue to monitor progress thereon. As managers were immediately made aware of the survey results, they conducted open discussions with their team members and promoted improvement activities based on the company, departments and team members' comments and assessments.

As seen above, we place importance on assessing employees' engagement through the results of the employee engagement survey, and based on the results, make sure that each department continues to hold dialogues and implement improvement measures.
